TORONTO, ON., FEB 21, 20201 — At 4:36 pm Sunday, a Winter Weather Travel Advisory has been issued by Environment Canada for Monday morning in the GTA and across southern Ontario. Yes, that’s right, Toronto is going to get blanketed with yet even more fluffy white stuff, according to Canada’s trusted weather source.

A band of snow is forecast by Environment Canada to be moving across southern Ontario late tonight through Monday morning. The snow is expected to become heavy at times Monday morning, and will likely result in poor visibility in heavy snow.

Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm can be expected by the time the snow stops falling at the end of Monday afternoon, resulting in snow accumulating on some roads.

This means there is a great likelihood that the Monday morning commute will be a messy one and motorists are advised to exercise caution, and alter their travel plans as needed.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
