Winter Weather Travel Advisory issued for Greater Toronto Area
TORONTO, Saturday,December 7, 2024 – A Winter weather travel advisory in effect for the GTA this afternoon and into the evening according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
The advisory issued by ECCC on Saturday December, 7 warns of snow with total accumulations of near 5 cm, particularly over eastern parts of the city. Now it may not seem like much snow, but it may produce hazardous winter driving conditions and cause problems for anyone trying to get around in the GTA later today.
The snow is expected this afternoon before tapering off early evening.

Timing: This afternoon and early this evening.
Discussion: Snow will progress southeastward through the afternoon before tapering off early this evening.
Warning: Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
