Happy Valentine’s Day Chocolate Pasta recipe from Chef Stephan Schulz

Notes from Chef Stephan Schulz Here is a sweet and fun Valentine’s chocolate spaghetti recipe made with the top three things that are given on Valentine’s Day; chocolates, flowers and dinner! It really is a quick and easy recipe to follow. While spaghetti is cooking you can prepare and melt the white and dark chocolate to add. Decorate the pasta plate with melted white chocolate and rose petals (or chocolate Valentine’s hearts) to complete the unique romantic presentation.

Ingredients needed for chocolate pasta:

2 portions of spaghetti, cook with added salt until desired consistency is reached
4 ounces of dark chocolate
2 ounces of white chocolate, for decoration

2 tbsp (or more depending on your preference) salt
If possible, edible flowers, or chocolate Valentine’s  hearts

Directions

While the spaghetti is a cooking:

Fill a pot with an inch of water and place it onto the stove then add a glass bowl on top in order to steam heat the chocolate. Break up the dark chocolate into smaller chunks and add to the heated glass bowl.

The same goes for the white chocolate. Take a second pot, add an inch of water and then place aa glass bowl on top and add your white chocolate chunks, breaking into pieces and until all the white chocolate melts.

Once the dark chocolate is melted, put it aside, but leave the pot and glass bowl on.

Next, drain your spaghetti very well, and then with a fork remove the pasta from the pot and add it into the dark chocolate bowl, by twisting it in with a fork until all the spaghetti is covered in chocolate.

Next, transfer it onto your plates. Divide spaghetti in half to share with your loving partner!

Finally, to decorate the plates with the white chocolate, I take a spatula and dip it into the white chocolate and then paste it around the pasta centred on the plate. Add a little romance with rose petals if you would like.

No it’s ready to serve to your loved one(s).
