Catch them at Lee’s Palace June 7

TORONTO, May 30, 2024 – Exciting JUNO Award-nominated alternative-rock band Bleeker, release their highly-anticipated new album Messed Up on June 28th via Known Accomplice / Cadence Music Group on all streaming platforms.

Our Lady Peace producer

Produced by Brian Moncarz (Alice Cooper, The Tea Party, Our Lady Peace) and the band’s own Chris Dimas (Marissa Burwell, Surf Dads, Flash Back), Messed Up is meticulously constructed. It stands as an exceptionally well-rounded record, staying true to the band’s initial, almost whimsical mission: to create an epic and unapologetic album bursting with hits.

Airplay during the Stanley cup Playoffs

Each song on the 11-track album is uniquely crafted, from the blistering riffs of “Phenomenon,” to the introspective ballad “All Downhill From Here” and high-energy songs like “Cool”. The album also includes the band’s past anthemic hits “Make It Better” and “Let’s Go,” which caught the NHL’s attention, recently becoming a staple in the 2024 playoff season soundtrack.

Moving up the charts

The most recent single “1998,” captures the nostalgia of the ’90’s and living in a carefree, simpler time when everything seemed tangible. The track is currently #18 on the Active Rock radio chart and is continuing to gain momentum.

“Messed Up is THE album we’ve wanted to make for awhile now,” said Taylor Perkins of Bleeker. “It’s easily our most authentic writing to date, it’s from the heart, drawn from life and just feels special. We are really proud of it. It may have taken a while to make (and we’re sorry about that) but we all feel like it was worth the wait.”

Canadian tour

In addition to the upcoming album release, Bleeker will be kicking off their 2024 Canadian tour with Boston Levi on May 30th in Montreal, QC. The band are guaranteed to win over audiences with their raw talent and magnetic energy with stops in major Canadian cities such as Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton and more.

Orillia

Comprised of Orillia-raised brothers – vocalist Taylor Perkins and guitarist Cole Perkins, joined by bassist Mike Van Dyk, and drummer Chris Dimas, Bleeker broke onto the international scene with their 2016 debut album Erase You, featuring the chart-topping hit “Highway.” Following its release, the track soared to #1 on the Canadian rock radio charts, cracked the top 10 in the US, and gained significant airplay in Europe, earning them a JUNO Award nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year and recognition from the Radio Music Awards.

Boasting over 54 million career streams to date, Bleeker’s profile has grown rapidly as they have continued to tour extensively and play major music festivals across the globe, sharing stages with iconic acts like The Struts, Papa Roach, Airbourne, Dinosaur Pile-Up and Sublime with Rome.

Bleeker continues to solidify their unique space in the music industry, remaining committed to delivering unforgettable performances and pushing the boundaries of alternative-rock. For more information on Bleeker and their upcoming show dates, please visit www.bleekerofficial.com
