Metrolinx announces continuation of GO Transit’s Sunday Funday unlimited $10 travel pass

Metrolinx CEO Phil Verster announces popular Sunday Funday travel program will extend into the spring, starting March 1, 2020.

Anne Marie Aikins, Senior Media Manager at Metrolinx, announced the news on Twitter on Thursday afternoon that the popular Sunday Funday program that allows passengers to ride the GO Train for an unlimited time and distance on Sundays will resume on March 1, 2020.

Following their successful  pilot program, Metrolinx announced today (Feb. 20) the continuation of their popular Sunday Funday program enabling passengers to travel as far as Niagara Falls and back or just $10!

The next phase begins on March 1, 2020.

Go Transit has announced that Sunday Funday deal will start up again on February 27.

For 11 weeks, Metrolinx piloted the Sunday Funday which provided GO train and bus customers with an e-ticket pass for $10 in which they could enjoy unlimited travel on GO Transit on Sundays and its overwhelming popularity has resulted in Metrolinx continuing the program into the spring.

You can buy your Sunday Funday pass starting February 27 – available online only and it can be conveniently emailed to your smartphone.

Anyone over the age of 13 is eligible for the pass, while children under the age of 12 can ride for free.
