Sophie Gregoire Trudeau has recovered from COVID-19

OTTAWA, ON., March 29, 2020 – Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has been given the ‘all clear’ from Canadian medical officials and is now free of the COVID-19 virus that was first diagnosed on March 12.

She had been tested for the novel coronavirus after she experienced symptoms upon her return from a business trip to the U.K..

Gregoire Trudeau said in an extremely positive Instagram Story that “the good news is that I have a clear bill of health now by a medical professional so I am super happy. So it’s all good.”

She began her post and French and then switched to English, saying “I know that it’s all good for me now but there are many, many Canadians and many people who are suffering right now and I want to send you all my love, all my courage.”

The Prime Minister’s wife said, “We are going through some really rough times, really difficult times and we are going to stick through it together.”

“It’s difficult because some people are losing their jobs and some people are suffering in isolation and alone.

Gregoire Trudeau reassuringly said, “We need to learn that we are all interconnected. That we are all in this together. We have reached this chapter together. We will go through it together and we will reach the other end and the other steps that await us.”

Let’s be allies to one another continue to reach out and to be caring helping the most vulnerable becuase I know for sure that when we go through this we will be stronger because we will have had each other’s backs.

Gregoire Trudeau also posted a statement on facebook that reads:

The First Lady thanked every single person who reached out to her as she was going through the coronavirus and all its symptoms.

Gregoire Trudeau concluded her message by saying, “Please be well and stay connected. Reach out to the people that you love, reach out to your friends and know you never are alone We are there with you,” before blowing a kiss to the camera.
