SUV gets stuck on Union Station – At 2:30 am a problem was reported from the Queen’s Quay streetcar terminal at Union Station. Incredibly, an elderly gentleman managed to follow a streetcar into the terminal and travel 600 m along the streetcar line before becoming stuck on a concrete block that serves as a walkway to the operator toilet.

Yes, an SUV made it through the bollards, past the lights and gates we installed in Oct. 2018 and all the way to the Union Station streetcar platform and got stuck,” said TTC spokesperson Stuart Green.

Shuttle buses ran until the tunnel was cleared at 5:30 am and streetcar services were resumed.
