TORONTO, August 30, 2022 – Time flies when you are having fun and doing good work! It’s the 20th Anniversary of the motion ball Toronto Gala happening September 29, in support of the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

Each year this sold-out event welcomes over 2,000 guests including Special Olympic athletes, Olympians, elite athletes, influencers and others who get a chance to walk the red carpet for an unforgettable night of fun, entertainment and philanthropy.

The 2022 motionball Toronto Gala is your chance to meet some of the incredible Special Olympics athletes that motionball proudly supports. Your ticket for the evening also includes live entertainment by 10 acts across two ballrooms so guests can enjoy live music in one room while DJ’s spin the tunes in another. There’s also an open bar, photobooths and a silent auction with over 100 luxury items.

This is one of Toronto’s most sought-after galas which has a goal of raising $300,000 net in one night for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

What is Motionball

Motionball is a national non-profit organization that empowers young Canadians to be leaders in their communities, raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics through integrated social and sporting events. The purpose of motionball is to create a sustainable funding model and base of supporters for the Special Olympics movement, while providing more people with tools to pursue their passions and to make a different in their communities.

The non-profit organizes over 50 annual events in 17 Canadian cities and 34 university campuses. Due to the generosity of many individuals, partners and organizations which support the Special Olympics movement, motionball has donated over $15,000,000 net since its inception in 2002.

The 20th Annual motionball Gala will be held on Thursday September 29 (doors open at 9 p.m.) at Liberty Grand, 25 British Columbia Road in Toronto. Early bird tickets are on sale now for $125 per person (regular price is $160 per person) available at https://www.motionball.com/galas/toronto/2022.
