Scadding Cabin

Scadding Cabin is a historic building located in Exhibition Place, Toronto. It is known to be the oldest surviving building in Toronto. Built in 1794 by John Scadding, a British immigrant, the cabin is an important reminder of Toronto’s early days. The cabin was initially located on the east side of the Don River, and it was later moved to its current location.

Gibraltar Point Lighthouse

Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, located on the outer corner of Toronto’s Centre Island is one of the oldest buildings in Toronto and the oldest lighthouse on the Great Lakes. It was built in 1809. The lighthouse is said to be haunted by its first keeper John Paul Radelmüller, who was murdered there in 1815.

Fort York Buildings

The original Fort York was built in 1793 but was destroyed by the American army in the Battle of Fort York. Place. It was then rebuilt and served as a military hospital during the war of 1812.
