Toronto Blues Society reveals winning musicians for Memphis International Blues Challenge Contest

SEAN PINCHIN and SANDRA BOUZA will represent Toronto Blues Society at the “International Blues Challenge ” in Memphis

October 30, 2019The Toronto Blues Society (TBS) announces that Sean Pinchin is the winner of this year’s Toronto contest for the International Blues Challenge Solo/Duo Category while Sandra Bouza takes first place for the Band Category. They will be representing the Toronto Blues Society in Memphis between January 28-February 1, 2020.

On Monday, October 28th, Sean Pinchin, Sandra Bouza along with Brian Blain and Jim Dan Dee Band, had a blues battle at the Dakota Tavern where all proceeds from the door and the raffle tickets went towards the winning bands after the expenses. Judges of the night included Samantha Martin, Sarah Kim Turnbull, and John Valenteyn.

Although Pinchin and Bouza won their categories, the TBS calls out a special thank you to Brian Blain as well as Jim Dan Dee band for their amazing performances and wishes the best of luck to its winners at the upcoming IBC in Memphis.
