Raptors fan creates giant Siakam snow sculpture

Waterloo resident and snow sculptor, Matthew Morris got the attention of one of his favourite Raptors players yesterday when Pascal Siakam tweeted a response to his Twitter post of the 7′ sculpture.

Siakam tweeted to Morris, “Haha that’s dope” along with the prayer emoji.

Morris replied back “Thanks for the note Pascal. You are an All-Star member of an outstanding team. It’s been great fun watching you develop into one of the most exciting players in the NBA. Wishing you & your team continued success. Felicitations!”

When snow sculptor, Morris posted the tweet and short video of the snow sculpture rotating he said “Pascal Siakam has an amazing spin move. So my 7’ snow sculpture tribute to him had to spin.”

Since yesterday’s tweet, the video has been viewed 180,000 times and Retweeted 258 times with 2.5 thousand Likes. Morris has posted other impressive snow sculptures in the past on his Twitter feed including giant feet, an arm and hand making a peace sign, an angel, an Easter island sculpture and of course a giant Olaf snowman from Frozen.
