Torontonians’ smash-hit podcast, Parkdale Haunt returns for third and final season

TORONTO, August 16, 2022 – The Torontonian-made, smash-hit, multi-award-winning podcast, Parkdale Haunt, deemed “one of the most popular horror fiction podcasts in the world” by The Toronto Star, returns for a third and final season on Frequency Podcast Network. The acclaimed serialized horror fiction podcast about friendship, trauma, cults, demons, and most frighteningly of all, the Toronto real estate market, launches its final season on Monday, September 26.

After the fires have been put out and the house has been cleared, Claire is finally… herself… again. For the first time in months, she’s alone in her mind and body. Judith has her best friend back, but so much has changed. But there’s no time to rest: the Family of Fire’s plan to bring about a demonic age of fire continues, unabated, with Lydia at the helm. Lydia’s out for blood, for power, and for revenge. There’s no time left, and Claire, Judith, and Owen know it. They have to head into the biggest fight of their lives, armed only with the knowledge they’ve learned from dusty tomes, the secrets hidden in the house, whatever weapons they can scrounge up, and their trust in each other, facing off against a power greater than anything they’ve seen before. Will they make it out in one piece? Will they even make it out at all? In season 3, Judith, Claire, and Owen must do everything they can to stop Lydia and the Family, even if it means making unlikely alliances, crafting makeshift weapons from silver cutlery, and getting way too many paper cuts from tomes of arcane knowledge.

Season one of Parkdale Haunt premiered in the fall of 2020 to instant fanfare—and both the first and second seasons topped the podcast charts and drew listeners from around the world. In its first two season the podcast attracted over 1,500,000 downloads and won the Outstanding Fiction Series Award at PODCAMP TORONTO’s fourth annual Canadian Podcast Awards, as well as the Reader’s Choice Award for Best Local Podcast from NOW Magazine.
