Tremblant’s winter season officially opens with a bang

Tremblant officially rolled out its iconic red carpet to celebrate the opening of the 2023-24 ski season on Thursday, November 23 starting at 8:30 am. To get the winter off to a flying start, the traditional ribbon cut kicked off the day with the adrenaline boosted rush to the Gondola. Skiers and snowboarders were greeted with hot chocolate, music, Toufou the mascot, and an honour walk created by resort employees for an electrifying launch atmosphere.

What’s open at Tremblant day one

This is a very special start to the winter season, as the snowmaking teams have been working since October 29 to cover the Flying Mile run in preparation for the World Cup event, on December 2 and 3, but also to prepare for the Tremblant 24H event, held the following week. For the opening of the 2023-24 ski season, 6 trails on 2 slopes, including one top-to-bottom run on the North side and a second to mid-mountain on the South side, will be open to the first skiers and snowboarders.

Runs and lifts open at Tremblant from Thursday, November 23:

Runs :

·        P’tit Bonheur

·        Beauchemin bas

·        Beauvallon haut

·        La Crête

·        Alpine

·        Onésime for ski and snowboard beginners

Lifts :

·        Duncan Express

·        Lowell Thomas Express

·        TGV

·        Gondola to get to the top and return to the South side

·        Cabriolet

A few modules on the upper Alpine run are already ready for snow park enthusiasts. Over the weekend, 3 additional trails are scheduled to open, thanks to colder temperatures starting on Friday, which will allow snowmaking to continue and be completed on these runs.

Elsewhere on the mountain, snowmaking is continuing, with trails opening gradually over the coming weeks.
