You can now redeem your Marriott BonVoy Rewards for priceless foodie experiences

Marriott International recently announced that guests of their entire hotel portfolio (W Hotels, Westin, Marriott, Delta, Ritz-Carlton, St.Regis, Renaissance, Sheraton, etc.) can now redeem their loyalty points – now called Marriott: BonVoy Rewards – to live “priceless” experiences that mainly focus on the favorite aspect of the hotelier : food and drink. Following the recent merger of all Marriott loyalty programs and brands (SPG for Starwood, Marriott Rewards for Marriott, etc.), the hotelier, which surprisingly started as a restaurant company in 1927, took the opportunity to rethink their rewards program and also to remind their clientele of the importance of gastronomy.

Marriott started as a restaurant company in 1927

Therefore, and considering f&b (food and drink) is part of Marriott’s DNA, it was then completely natural for the company to come up with new ways to showcase their love and passion for the restaurant industry and its artisans. Today, the hotelier counts 27 Michelin stars around the world and prides itself on working with an impressive list of chefs, sommeliers and mixologists at their hotels.

The new BonVoy Moments program offers guests the chance to book “priceless experiences” that are otherwise impossible to buy, such as : a private dinner with a star chef (Morimoto), a culinary workshop with a Michelin-star chef (Sayan Isaksson), a private tour of one of the world’s best restaurant (Per Se)… These are just a preview of the foodie paradise experiences that you can now book with the Marriott Rewards program.

As a reminder, Marriott owns and operates 62 hotels in Toronto such as: the Westin Castle, the funky Delta Downtown, the very chic Ritz-Carlton Toronto, and the first and only St. Regis property in Canada : the St. Regis Toronto where we find the sumptuous restaurant Louix Louis. Note that the BonVoy Moments offer changes regularly, stay tuned for the next ones. It should (definitely) be interesting.
