TORONTO, ON., APRIL 20, 2020 –– Popular Canadian music stars will perform on a National TV special in support of health care workers, similar to Last Saturday’s One World: Together at Home U.S. The TV special Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble will feature a host of celebrities and music artists, including Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, Michael Bublé and Celine Dion who also performed for the One World: Together at Home Lady Gaga special.

The one-hour show will broadcast April 26th on major Canadian networks including CTV, CBC, Global Television and Citytv networks. The special, also being aired on several radio and streaming platforms will recognise the incredible efforts of Canadian health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Viewers and listeners will be asked to donate to Food Banks Canada, a charity providing funds and support to food banks across the country.

“Front-line workers, across so many sectors, including food banking, have been drastically impacted by COVID-19,” says Chris Hatch, CEO of Food Banks Canada. “They need our support and we are thankful for Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble for helping our most vulnerable neighbours.”

There are some hugely popular Canadian artists missing from the lineup ike Toronto’s own Drake, Metric and The Weeknd, along with Stratford’s Justin Bieber (now added), and Vancouver’s Sam Roberts (now added). It’s already a star-studded Canadian lineup but it is quite possible that a few more artists could be added.

Regardless it is shaping up to be a great Canadian love-in showing support for healthcare workers and food banks. With the recent tragic massacre in Nova Scotia the timing for a country to rally together can not come soon enough.
