Skate near Yonge-Dundas Square
Escape busy downtown Toronto at these two skating areas near the square.
If Nathan Phillips Square is feeling too mainstream for a place to skate, just a short walk from Yonge-Dundas Square are two places where you can go for free.
Near the busiest intersection in Toronto is the Barabara Ann Scott Ice Trail. Named after Canadian Olympic figure skater Barbara Ann Scott, the five metre-wide loop can be found at College Park.

Surrounded by skyscrapers this oval ice track is perfect for a family outing or a first date and can be enjoyed day or night for free.

Lake Devo, located on the Ryerson University campus at the corner of Victoria and Gould St. is a small rink open to the public.
The beautiful lights from the Image arts building beside the rink make it a perfect place for a nighttime skate.
This surface is hockey-stick friendly so grab a couple friends and enjoy Canada’s favourite pastime at this rink in the heart of downtown!
