Tucked away beneath the bustling streets of Yorkville, an underground playground delivering the perfect combination of refined recreation and leisure has opened its doors. Located at Toronto’s most notable intersection, Yonge and Bloor at 1 Bloor Street East, The Ballroom Bowl Yorkville boasts eight state-of-the-art bowling lanes including two VIP lanes alongside chic dining, bar and lounge areas with curated cocktail and food menu.

Toronto flagship location opened in 2010

With its first flagship location in the entertainment district (145 John St.) that opened in 2010, The Ballroom Bowl is expanding its presence in Toronto with the opening of a second location in the heart of Yorkville, one of Toronto’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. The Ballroom Bowl Yorkville offers Toronto residents and visitors alike a new, elevated destination for entertainment, leisure and dining.

Alongside the lively bowling action, the venue’s restaurant, bar and lounge provide the perfect backdrop for socializing with friends, watching the game on TV, and enjoying the electrifying atmosphere. Also, The Ballroom Bowl Yorkville offers an ideal venue for corporate events and private parties including, birthdays, engagements, bachelorettes and more.

Classic and innovative menu

 
Guests can savour a mix of classic and innovative dishes from the carefully curated food menu including house roasted artichoke & white bean hummus and short rib mac-n-cheese. Adding to the experience, the drink menu features an impressive range of wines, beers and signature cocktails including Smoke & Mirrors, Strawberry Hibiscus Cooler and Mexpresso Martini.
 
Ballroom Bowl Yorkville guests will enjoy weekly entertainment including DJ’s every Friday and Saturday night. Also, daily specials from $7 beer and house wine on Mondays, half price appetizers on Tuesdays to half priced bowling on Wednesdays and half prices fish ‘n’ chips on Fridays.

The Yorkville location is elegant, it has a beautiful bar and restaurant with high-end details and finishes, a natural evolution from the original in the Entertainment District.”
 

VIP area and intimate lounge

Donato retained esteemed Hamilton-based design firm mcCallumSather to bring a sophisticated leisure-inspired aesthetic to the new Yorkville location. The venue’s ground floor lobby, with a direct connection to Yonge St and Yonge/Bloor Subway Station, includes a wood feature ceiling with integrated lighting and a city collage wall graphic. The intimate lounge area offers an open kitchen view and curved cave-like acoustic control. The bar features concealed TVs along with walnut and brass detailing and sits beside the dining area with both booth and table seating, feature lighting pendants and a 3 sided water vapour fireplace. The VIP area ensures an exclusive experience with private bowling lanes, elevated millwork features, leather couch seating and full-screen TVs, creating an opulent ambiance.

Three more locations coming to Toronto

The original Ballroom Bowl located on John St. has been a premier destination for bowling, food, drinks, and live events for the past 13 years. The opening of The Ballroom Bowl Yorkville marks the initiation of an exciting national expansion plan, with three more Toronto locations set to open in 2024 and 2025, including Yonge and Dundas.
