Toronto candlelight symphony concerts coming to Casa Loma this winter

TORONTO, Jan. 9, 2023 – Liberty Entertainment Group has just announced the return of its beloved symphony program this winter, with the launch of Twilight Symphony at the Castle – a series of intimate candlelit concerts featuring the Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra conducted by renowned Maestro Paolo Busato, in the historic Stables of one of Toronto’s most magical locations, Casa Loma.

The Twilight Symphony at the Castle program runs from February 2nd to March 5th, 2023; performances are Thursday through Sunday evenings from February 2nd – 12th and Tuesdays through Sunday evenings from February 14th – March 5th. Doors open at 7PM with performances at 7:30 pm with one 20-minute intermission.

The concerts for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings will feature Music from the Movies, with classic scores from Hollywood’s most memorable films. While on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays, guests will enjoy From Broadway to Opera and Beyond, featuring music from classics and beloved arias to Broadway favourites, to today’s most hummable hits.

Tickets for the popular sell-out entertainment program go on sale January 9th online at www.casaloma.ca; general admission tickets are $75.

The thrill of live… in twilight’s gleaming

On arrival at the grand entrance of Casa Loma, guests will travel the historic 800 ft tunnel below Austin Terrace, to the Carriage Room in The Stables on the northwest corner of the property for a one-of-a-kind performance bathed in candlelight. In an intimate 150-seat setting, the program for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings will feature Music from the Movies, with classic scores from Hollywood’s most memorable films. Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays, guests will enjoy From Broadway to Opera and Beyond, featuring music from classics and beloved arias to Broadway favourites, to today’s most hummable hits.

As part of the evening’s experience, concert goers may enjoy cocktails at the Carriage Room bar, both pre-show and at intermission. For those who wish to partake in the ultimate experience at the castle or for a romantic and unforgettable evening out – including Valentine’s Day, February 14th — Twilight Symphony at the Castle patrons may purchase limited, pre-show VIP dinner packages ($250/pp, 5 or 6 PM seatings) for the castle’s buzzy, award-winning dining establishment, BlueBlood Steakhouse.
