Arkells Fireplace channel will make you smile

Prolific Canadian hitmakers, Arkells have a cosy “fireplace channel” set up on their YouTube Channel. It’s a clever and festive way to share the gift of their music with fans, to bring a smile to their faces and at the same time get them excited about the latest Arkells album, Campfire Chords.

Arkells have posted it on December 18 with a message to their fans: “A gift to you: Arkells Fireplace Channel Presented By Campfire Chords. Set it and forget it. Merry Christmas and you’re welcome. Share and tag a friend who doesn’t have a fireplace!”

Put it on in the background while working at your home office and stream Campfire Chords front-to-back, while at the same time enjoying subtly comedic intermittent entrances from lead singer Max Kerman.

Max takes the opportunity throughout the stream to shamelessly promote some of the Arkells Campfire Chords merch along with hanging stockings band members’ stockings by the fire and putting out the cocoa (in a campfire mug) and cookies for Santa. Oh yeah there is also a sort of “unboxing” if you will, of the double vinyl record package that includes complete with liner notes and two orange vinyl records.

“No matter where you are, we hope these tunes keep you warm this season,” says Kerman.

Campfire Chords features new campfire interpretations of most of the favourite tunes along with the Hamilton band’s latest hit single “Quitting You”:

Knocking At The Door

Quitting You

Years In The Making

Whistleblower

Michigan Left

I’m Not The Sun

Don’t Be A Stranger

A Little More

Come To Light

A Little Rain (A Song For Pete)

Eyes On The Prize

Book Club

And Then Some

Kiss Cam

My Heart’s Always Yours

Hand Me Downs

11.11

Relentless

Leather Jacket

The Arkells Fireplace Channel has already had over 16,000 visits and it will surely have any fan cracking a smile, and adding some cool Arkells merch along with the new album to their Christmas list.

Campfire Chords is available everywhere now. Or you can order it from their website.
