Environment Canada has issued a Special weather statement for the GTA late tonight due to a cold front tracking through southern Ontario delivering: “Strong wind gusts along late this evening and early tonight.”

Environment Canada warns of possible power outages with winds gusts of 70 to 90 kmh.
This cold front is tracking across Southern Ontario and is moving eastwards at about 50 kmh.

It is possible that loose objects may be tossed by the wind and could cause injury or damage.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may also occur.

It is possible that commuters may be greeted by a little snow in the morning as winds will be accompanied by rain showers which could turn to snow as temperatures quickly drop to below zero celsius at about 4 am, Monday.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
