Winter weather travel advisory is in effect for Toronto Friday morning (December 6)
December 5, 2019 – Torontonians may be reaching for their snow brushes and shovels before venturing out for their Friday morning commute. On the heals of last Sunday and Monday’s messy weather, Environment Canada has issued a Winter Travel Advisory for Friday December 6, 2019.
Snow is expected to develop overnight in the GTA, and will continue into Friday morning. Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are likely by the middle of the day.
Temperatures will drop to -3°C Thursday night and creep up to zero around mid-day before dropping to -8 on Friday night.
It’s possible the Friday morning commute may also be impacted with low visibility in heavy snow at times and slippery driving with snow accumulating on untreated surfaces.
Conditions are expected to improve Friday afternoon. and Saturday will be -1°C with a mix of sun and clouds while Sunday will be the best day to do outside chores as it climbs to 6°C. More snow is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday.
