On Sat., July 18 and Sun. July 19, the TTC will operate enhanced subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, to help soccer fans travel to and from the FIFA Fan Festival™ to watch the remaining World Cup matches:
• 504 King, 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcar service will operate every five minutes, to accommodate more customers travelling on these routes.
• 29 Dufferin/929 Dufferin Express buses are operating in dedicated transit lanes from Dufferin Station to Dufferin Gate Loop, to help keep service running smoothly.
• TTC Customer Service Ambassadors wearing red soccer jerseys will be positioned at subway stations and key locations downtown to answer customer questions and provide directions as needed.
Service adjustments for construction and events
Buses on the following routes will not service stops along Aberfoyle Cres. and Bloor St. W., until 9 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 16, due to lane restrictions for construction:
• 37 Islington
• 50 Burnhamthorpe
• 110 Islington South
• 337 Islington Night
• 937 Islington Express
Buses on the following routes will be diverted from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., July 18, due to the Junior Caribbean Carnival Parade:
• 39A Finch East buses will divert south on Baldoon Rd., west on Crow Trail and north on Tapscott Rd.
• 132 Milner buses will divert south on McLevin Ave., north on Morningside Ave., and west on Sewells Rd.
• 133 Neilson buses will not service stops on Neilson Rd., between Tapscott Rd. and Finch Ave. E.
• 300 Bloor-Danforth Night buses will operate on Dupont St. between Lansdowne Ave. and Dufferin St. starting at 8 a.m. Sat., July 18 to 2 a.m. on Mon., July 20, during the Big on Bloor festival.
• 504/304 King, 505/305 Dundas and 506/306 Carlton streetcars will divert from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Wed., July 22 and Thurs., July 23, during TTC infrastructure work at Broadview Ave. and Gerrard St. E. 504/304 King and 505/305 Dundas streetcars will operate between Dundas West Station and Dundas St. E. and Broadview Ave. 506/306 Carlton streetcars will operate along Queen St. E. between Parliament St. and Coxwell Ave. Replacement buses will operate to cover stops missed by streetcar service.
Monday to Wednesday – Early nightly closures on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Jane and Ossington stations
Mon., July 20 through Wed., July 22, subway service on Line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations will end nightly at 11:59 p.m. for planned track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will operate, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Runnymede, High Park, Lansdowne and Dufferin stations will be closed, as well as the Indian Grove entrance at Keele Station. All other subway stations will be open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
Thursday and Friday – Early nightly closures on Line 4 Sheppard between Sheppard-Yonge and Don Mills stations
Thurs., July 23 and Fri., July 24, subway service on Line 4 between Sheppard-Yonge and Don Mills stations will end nightly at 11:59 p.m. for planned track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will operate, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Bayview and Bessarion stations will be closed, as well as the automated entrance at Leslie Station. All other subway stations will be open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
