TORONTO, ON. Sept. 23, 2022 — As zoo lovers and craft beer enthusiasts get ready to explore their two passions on Saturday September 24, the Toronto Zoo has just announced that the event must be modifired due to concerns about the Avian flu.
“Due to operational changes and unforeseen circumstances surrounding the Avian Influenza, this weekend’s Public Event of Brew at the Zoo had to be modified. We will be relocating this event to the Zoo’s Simba Picnic Site and opening the event to all Toronto Zoo guests 19+ on Saturday, September 24th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.” reads the official statement from the Toronto Zoo.
The zoo goes on to say that “Existing ticket holders will be receiving an email with exact event details and options to still attend Brew at the Zoo or receive a refund.“
Back in March the Toronto Zoo announced the closure of all bird related exhibits due to confirmation of avian influenza (flu) in southern Ontario, out of an abundance of caution the zoo is proactively taking precautions to protect its birds.
Brew at the Zoo, is an adults-only event that invites you to enjoy local craft beer, cider, wine and delicious food as you stroll through the picturesque heart of the Toronto Zoo’s African Savanna.
Here are some of the vendors expected to take part at Brew at the Zoo 2022:
From 11:00am to 6:00pm all visitors 19 and older can enjoy a day of local craft beer, cider, wine and delicious food at the Simba Picnic Site in African Savanna. Enjoy FREE samples* from Brew at The Zoo vendors, live music at 1:00pm and 4:00pm, and photo ops.
